TL DR: Meta is overpriced and Adventure Token/DPE/Scythe feels like a tier 0 format I'm not enjoying the format and i have took my distance from my locals, the power level between builds and the other people around is big, and with an entry price so big to this format's meta, i may keep behind that gap for a few more months to come. The metagame changed so fast that the pile/good stuff philosophy returned (due to these powerful engines), but it feels cheap playing against 60-card pile decks that ultimately do the same thing as in-archetype builds. We might have had most expensive formats (looking at you TeleDAD), but that doesn't change the fact that we're on an overprices format, and maybe the most expensive format in recent years. These cards are crazy expensive, same thing goes for staples. Now, playing these engines of not most times don't come up as a matter of taste, but of money. The trinity of Adventure Token/Scythe/DPE is pretty much everywhere, and if you're not playing it, you're most likely losing to it, which might i say, i don't enjoy at all. We haven't had a proper tier 0 format since Spyral, but we can certainly compare today's meta to that of a tier 0. We're in an odd spot right now as how the metagame has evolved in the last months.
